Terri Kay Thompson (Hitchins)

Terri Kay Ruyle, age 56, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at her home.

There will be a private graveside service at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas.  A memorial service will be at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, Texas on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. 

Terri was born in Houston, Texas on December 31, 1963 to Donald and Mary Lou “Kostner” Thompson. She married Wm. Brian Ruyle on July 28, 2005. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was involved in Lunches of Love.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband, Wm. Brian Ruyle of Mt. Vernon, Texas; her son, Kyle and Justin Densmore of Dallas, Texas; her mother, Mary Lou Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and one brother, Wes Thompson also of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Terri loved her friends and everybody was her friend. She loved to cook and travel. She spent a week in cooking school in Italy, her favorite country to travel to. She also enjoyed traveling to Canada, Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, Turkey, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Czech Republic and British Virgin Islands where she could enjoy another of her favorite activities, snorkeling. She also loved traveling America and visited the majority of the states. She also loved the men of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her daddy.  She is now happily with her daddy singing praises to the Lord. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Mt. Vernon, Texas or the American Lung Association.
