Robert and Marilyn Peterson welcomed the youngest of their three children on January 17, 1964 in Tulsa, OK. She attended Tulsa public schools, graduating from Hale High School in 1982. As a member of Phi Beta Kappa, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Oklahoma State University in 1986, cherishing her time at OSU with many fond memories.
Shortly after graduating from OSU, she married Richard "Rick" Musa in December 1986. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Michael, and Isabella. Julia was very involved in her children's education, dedicating countless hours to the PTA and other school activities. Her commitment was so notable that the school offered her a paid position at the elementary school. Julia remained with Broken Arrow School system until 2023. She also was part of the "sandwich generation," juggling both motherhood and taking care of her aging parents until their deaths. She was a devoted caregiver to both her parents. Julia also worked several years as an office manager and inside salesperson at a hydraulic and pneumatic company.
Julia enjoyed traveling and spending family time at theme parks around the country, with some of her favorite trips being to Big Cedar Lodge. Time spent with family in Arkansas held a special place in her heart. Christmas was Julia's favorite time of year. Some of her favorite Christmas time memories included family trips, the annual quest for the perfect tree, and decorating the family home.
Julia loved to play cards and board games. She enjoyed astronomy, antiquing, and baking. Her family-oriented nature naturally led her to genealogy research. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and maintained her faith throughout her life.
Julia endured so much while battling her diseases and fought hard right up until her last breath. She is survived by her husband of 36 years and their children, Michael and Isabella; sister Sonja (David) Radford; and nieces and nephews.
